October 1, 1997: The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority 
(IANA) has announced its new appointees to the gTLD-MoU 
Policy Oversight Committee. The new appointees are Glenn 
Kowack (3 year term) and and Willie Black (1 year term). 
The gTLD-MoU Policy Oversight Committee would like to 
express its appreciation for the dedication and contributions 
of the departing IANA appointees, Dave Crocker and Perry

October 2, 1997: The "[Second Revised] Draft of the Substantive 
Guidelines for Administrative Domain Name Challenge Panels" is 
now available (see http://www.gtld-mou.org/docs/sracps.htm).
This document supersedes the "[Revised] Proposed Guidelines 
Concerning Administrative Domain Name Challenge Panels" posted 
on May 23, 1997 (http://www.gtld-mou.org/docs/racps.htm).
The gTLD-MoU Policy Oversight Committee is now soliciting public
comments on the newly available Second Revised draft (see 
below).

October 2, 1997: The gTLD-MoU Policy Oversight Committee 
is issuing a request for public comments (Notice-97-03) on 
"Proposed Trademark Dispute Resolution: Draft Substantive 
Guidelines for Administrative Domain Name Challenge Panels." The
preliminary closing date (for comments on this second revised 
draft) is November 7, 1997. The posting of a third revised
draft will be made approximately seven days after this preliminary
closing date. The final closing date (for comments on a third 
revised draft) will be made approximately thirty days after 
posting of the third revised draft. Please see

preparations are being undertaken for Internet Domain Name dispute
