Christopher, I think that we need to distinguish between formal
statements 'from the Committee' versus individual contributions from folks
who are members of the Committee. It's not that 'nobody is willing' it's
that IAHC pronouncements will be relatively rare and relatively formal,
whereas discussion, information gather, explorations, etc. by individual
members is likely to be quite frequent. (As they are already proving to
be.)
While none of us would claim that our membership in the committee
is irrelevant to these latter exchanges, neither should they ever be taken
as a statement of formal IAHC position, unless explicitly labeled. That's
all the caveat phrase at the end of the message is meant to impart.
