The only way to find out is to try and implement it. Since I doubt
anyone's going to convince the Internic to start sharing .COM on a trial
basis, the next best thing is to share second level domains and see how
it works. As I have said before, this is one of the issues I will work
out with EU.ORG and probably several other domain name owners who would
like to use my registry services without MY name. I'm hoping to have
something in place by the end of the year.

Your solution for 1000s of TLDs just creates a similar problem to .COM
at the root level. And no matter what everyone else might say, some TLDs
are just better letter/number combinations than others. Ignoring that
fact is just simply being unrealistic.
