I agree with you on that point. We seem to forget that one of the main
reason this is such a heated debate is that the Internic is probably the
only company on the Internet that is profitable TODAY.
For some reason I have this vision of iTLD's and registries run like usenet
newsgroup: let each one decide what they want to do, how, etc... and let
the ISP's and market forces decide from which registries they get their
information. Actually, that way, there could be different .com registries.
Just a thought...
I know, it's crazy.
