Re: Conflict resolution?

Tony Rutkowski asks an interesting question.

The answer is that your premise is wrong. The situation is no longer
non-urgent. I have personally said, repeatedly, that the committee
must not rush and produce a botched job, and we cannot be beholden to
arbitrary deadlines that threaten our ability to do justice to a
complex and critical situation. On the other hand, it is obvious that
the community expects us to complete our work with all deliberate
speed. The situation has been prolonged for a long time, and people
naturally have grown short on patience. I do not think it is
unreasonable for the community to have expectations that we will try
to complete our work expeditiously. Again, we should certainly be
careful and not attempt to deliver a half baked product. On the other
hand, we do not wish to extend the process any longer than necessary.
