Mr. Metzger? IAHC Credibilty?


 Mr. Perry Metzger has been
 noted on past new domain name
 mailing lists as an obvious and
 vocal an opponant to alternative
 services as I may have neen
 their proponant. This gentleman
 vociferously opposed any and all
 activities of persons attempting
 to create new options like my
 embrionic .FCN and .WTV DNS's.

 When I discovered that Mr. Metzger
 was on this IAHC committe my
 immediate reaction was utter and
 complete disbelief. My response
 was that I should be on that
 committee as well if only for
 the sake of balance.

 In my humble opinion the Inetenet
 Ad Hoc Committe must face this
 issue. I also hope that Mr. Metzger
 will talk on how he can relate
 impartially on matters he has
 previously expressed so set and
 vigorous opinions upon.
