This is not what IANA told me. Again, there appears to be a lot of
confusion on this issue.

Saying that it is not true over and over does not change the fact that
it happened.

We're back to the question of "who speaks for IANA." At the time, Bill
Manning represented that he did. If that's not true, then it's not
true, but it's what was represented to me at the time. Nothing more,
nothing less.

This is NOT what happened. Let me say that again, in case there's any
question: THIS IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED.

But please do not take my word for it. Ask Simon Higgs, as he was there.

This makes it twice that someone has called me a liar, even in the light
of facts to the contrary.

For the last time, I support the IAHC, I support this discussion, and I
want to see this issue resolved. It is my position that I feel the IAHC
should investigate what IANA did, insure itself of the truth, and take
it into consideration in making policy. That's all. Obviously, I want
what is best for my company - I would be a fool if I did not. But I'm
not trying to shove this down anyone's throat. I'm just trying to make
my point. If you have a problem with any of the events as I've presented
them, then ask others who were there. Until then, I would request that
you stop calling me a liar. Having different opinions is not lying, is it?

I've had my say on this issue, and I believe I've made my point, whether
you agree or not. I shall drop the subject until such time as it's
necessary to bring it up again. I'm off to Comdex, see you all next week.
