That is not exactly accurate. There were statements made prior to the
concept of the IAHC.

IANA staff? Speaking about IANA business (including draft-postel)? In
IANA's conference room? It's so hard to tell under those circumstances,
especially when the staff member vanished several times into Jon's
office for answers to questions he wasn't entirely sure of.
Maybe he was really just a spy working for AlterNIC that afternoon.
Nah.
But I won't tell anyone where the envelope came from. It's even more of
a scandal.
