I *really* wish you'd stop making things up in a vain attempt to prop
up your position.
The InterNIC has *never* funded the IANA -- the IANA gets its funding
as part of a larger block of funds from DARPA (you remember, the folks
that provided the funding for the original research which led to the
Internet?) that is intended for Internet research (or something like
that).

Try again. InterNIC was established by the US government (the
National Science Foundation) to provide (among other things) DNS
allocation and registration services, it can at the very least, be
said that the US government supports InterNIC in operating those
zones.
