Disposition of the TLD applications made to the IANA

Hello:

The IANA will assemble a file of all the applications submitted to it
for new top level domains and send this file to the IAHC for its
consideration.

The IANA will also make a summary of this file and send it to this
list.

I believe that the IANA response to TLD applications sent to the IANA
over the past year has been fairly consistent and has usually included
the statement:

	Request sent to the IANA for a new top level domain will be
	filed with the many other requests.  There is some considerable
	possibility that this particular request will not be granted
	(in simple words -- don't plan on it).

While the IANA will send the file of these applications to the IAHC, it
is not at all clear what status these requests will be given by the the
IAHC.
