All:
First, let me appologise for my SAIC rant lastnight, I was tired and
quite paranoid. I have been corrected as to whom does allocations
for 800 numbers.
Well my first release of a CORBA regestry is available. The regestry
is running on ibd.ar.com.
Whats is Available:
-------------------
The source for the server is available from web page on
http://sentosa.ar.com
This is just the source for the server. No parsers or whois server.
I'll have the parsers done in a day or so, and it will take me a little
while to finish the whois server which is based on glimpse.
A binary version is available for anyone who is running Solaris 2.4
and has a copy os Sun's NEO. The source is only good for those that
have NEO Workshop. Drop me a note and I'll get the binaries to you.
Once I have the parsers finished I'll make an updated release.
There is little to no documentation for this stuff so use it at your own
risk. If anyone wants to send in domain regestrations (root included)
I'll push them through the parsers them by hand.
send domain applications to hostmaster@ar.com
You wont get any notification back.... Haven't built that yet.
These applications are just for testing and playing around with.
If all goes well I'll be able to show off a Shared-tld regestry
some time next week. Please not that I don't intend to serve
these up via DNS so we are not creating any prior-use issues here.
