By "probably", do you mean this is your personal feeling, or are
there currently any statements, actions or policies, either from
the IANA or the ITU or any other organization, to go in this
direction in general (i.e., not only for .CH but for other country
domains as well).
I am under the impression that there are currently strong pressures
from several national standard bodies or telecom organizations
(among others) to take ISO-3166 TLDs away from national NICs, and
not only for .CH.
Only you seem to be picturing this as a fait accompli, or at least
a unescapable event, which is apparently not a universaly shared
point of view.
Would it be possible to know the official opinion of the IANA on
this matter? (and the opinion of IAHC if any, and of the ITU, and
of other organizations...)
