The ISO 3166 Maintenance Agency rules laid down in
the MA-Guidelines indicate that a code request can only
be processed if the authority holding sovereignty over
the area for which a code element is requested expresses
its consent to this request. Therefore, agreement of

If new iTLDs were created then one could imagine that
you and/or others could apply to run such an iTLD.
