    Well, if he were the only member on the comittee, it might
be unanswered.  As he's not, he has exactly as much influence
as his ideas and arguements warrent.

    If he's arguing transparent balderdash, his opinions won't count
for much.
  
    If he's proposing ``the right thing for the wrong readons'', his
ends might be achieved, but not for the reasons he's put forth. And
so the other ends his reasons imply will not all eb met.

    If he's proposing viable ends and backing them up with good
arguements, he should expect to be heard.

    Such is the fate of a debater...
