Mr Dillon, I think its time you take a couple steps back.
Allow me a short introduction. My name is John Frangie. I am the
majority stockholder in Image Online Design. Briefly, I am a business
man in San Luis Obispo Cailfornia. I own and operate a number of
Automobile Dealerships in the county.
With that behind us, I would like to state I have been watching this
discussion since it started. All input is valuable if it is based on
facts and not smoke screens. I think you might change your attitude
about this meeting and what was said if you were there. You weren't, I
know because I was.
I can say all Christopher Ambler said was totally factual. I can also
add it was me, who asked Bill Manning after he encouraged us to start
operational testing, if we would be acceptable to start charging for
registrations in .web. His answer was yes.
My purpose at the meeting was to get acquainted with Jon Postel and Bill
Manning and to decide just how much I would invest in our registry. I
left the meeting with the assurance I needed to invest as much as the
registry would require to be run as a first class operation. I did and
believe it is.
Now for you to add the statements that there is no evidence for your
assertions, to Chris without being there, it is just like adding smoke
to a clear picture.
I have chosen to sit on the side and watch the progress and development
of the Internet take place. My input is only useful for the facts I can
present. I doubt I could suggest a better way to run the Internet.
