Let's see, NSI gets exclusive use of 3 of the popular TLDs (and the
only ones that everyone knows about until the new ones are advertised,
which, by the way, may not happen for reasons I've already outlined).

Meanwhile, at a minumum, 20-25 new registries SHARE 7 new gTLDs, and
have to spend money to get them noticed amongst the populace that
aren't aware of this new expansion.

Sorry, NSI has the MUCH better end of the deal.

Solution? Any number of new registries and any number of gTLDs. Other
than, "this is new, so let's start slowly," I have yet to hear a good
reason not to do this. Anyone?
