Commerce exists in the world. Commerce is even an essential component
of the world of humans. However this does not mean that commerce drives
the world. Different people will view the world in different ways. For
some, commerce does drive their world. For others it is art, or sex, or
beer that drives the world. An individual can live in whatever world they
wish, but the IAHC must not choose one vision of the world over another.
At its best, a committee brings its members out of their own narrow world
views to do their work at a higher level where the broadness of humanity
can be grasped.

Even an individual putting up a page to help the homeless would still
have to invest time and effort and money in a domain name in order to
make it operational and to make it known to the world. However this does
not make their endeavor into a commercial one.
