Voting



Jeff, the principles of IETF operation have formed a substantial basis for
IAHC operation.  Not entirely, but substantively.

Voting is not done in the IETF.  I commend you to its documentation for
discussion and explanation of its decision process.

ps.  As with you, I tend to think in terms of US federal and state
governmental models.  Folks from elsewhere in the world are amused by such
a limited perspective.  The variety of forms and styles for democratic
operation, are myriad.
