I am an IETF member as well, and I volenteer some of my time to
worthwile efforts in the internet arena. I still think that in order
for the IACH to achieve real professional creditibility, it's members
should be paid something. I also think the same of IETF, ISOC, IANA,
CORE, and others. Without that there will be a substancive numer of
users form multipul levels that give little credance to tha efforts
of these orgs. I don't believe that the enumeration should be
a wage that one can live off of, but it should be something, at least.
For instance, I serve on the boards of several medium companies and
several banks as an advisory member, all of which I am paid something
for serving. The same should apply here.
