Perry, I don't much care. $20,000 to enter a lottery is insane. Pure,
unmitigated tripe. We will be running a registry, and we will be in
the root servers, whether it is via the IAHC process or other means.
If other means, we will run .web exclusively. If via the IAHC process,
we will gladly enter and promote a shared-registry system. The choice
is 100% up to the IAHC. We will act on 31 January based on the draft.

This is not posturing or threat, it is a statement of fact. We have been
working since the inception of this issue with good will and patience,
and continue to do so. If the IAHC, however, takes action to prevent
our entry into this marketplace, we will take action ourselves. As
distasteful as I find the whole process, I have no doubt what the outcome 
of our action will be.

Now are we going to work this out to the benefit of all, or not?
