SLD application requirements

Appendix A of the IAHC draft lists the application requirements for
a second-level domain registration form. The 4th item is a sworn
statement that "the applicant believes that the intended use of the
domain name will not infringe any rights of any other party", and that
the name conform to one of 4 uses:
- company name (or variation)
- trademark (or variation)
- personal name (or variation)
- other (provide full explanation)
These seem to imply that your selected name must match one of the
first 3 choices or that "other" must be a variant of them.
I would like to see a statement that says that once the stated
requirments are met, that no name choices will be rejected for any
reason. IE. There is no censorship going on here, and names will not
be rejected if the applicant fills out the "other" with any
explanation they feel like using.
I am strongly against any waiting period (I am also an ISP that
registers domain names every day for customers that "must have them
now" and have their web site developed and ready to go).
Besides the issues above, I am still strongly against the IAHC proposal.
