Re: ISO 3166 namespace administration

Perry,

You feel incorrectly, that all my arguments are based upon some need of
mine to correct the .ae DNS namespace.

Not true. I see that what happens in ALL ISO TLD namespace MUST have some
validity on actions that are taken on other TLDs, new or old. I am trying
to use an example, but obviously, you are happy in your mind to dismiss the
broader ramifications of an International namespace. You can get pissed off
all you want, and dismiss the concept, but I feel that there is need to
look carefully at the " . " ownership for ALL domains at this point.
Especially in light of possiblities of fragmantation root 64 etc. You might
dismiss these people, but the British dimissed the Boston Tea party and
look what happened. Look to lessons of history. Disenfranchise these people
and you will get a period of mayhem.

You have never answered any points adequately, except to rant over and over
that .ae is delegated to the government, when it was not, and that IANA
does not care. ( why are you being a lapdog for IANA, where are they to
answer....the worry here is that IANA seem to be reponsible for issue of "
. " and all of a sudden Perry is the spokesman for IANA. That is worrying
for ALL ISO TLDS.)

Perry, there are serious issues here, and these issues affect a lot of
people around the world. A lot of people are in .com because of what I see
as deficiencies in ISO TLDs. But no Perry, you are in LA LA land,
everything is fine. By God, if you are on the IAHC, and you are
representitive of the insight and concern, then help us all. Jim Fleming
looks better and better.

You can shut your ears and say nah nah nah, I am not listening, but to date
you have offered no real defense ( in your informal role as IANA defense
spokesman)

1) as to why the current DNS RFC is not adhered to
2) as to why so many companies jump into .com
3) as to why ISO TLDs are a morass IANA will not fix, given that they seem
to own " . " and EVERYONE needs the approval of IANA to get into " . " I
repeat, IANA seem to own " . " and they make public policy for the good of
all, and they do not follow the letter of their policy. Why?
4) as to why you are so arrogant ;->
5) as to why you are happy in your role to write off the deficient policies
of many many ISO TLDs
6) as to why if ISO TLDs failed to be as popular as they should, that YOU
and the caring sharing International boys of the IAHC are going to make
sure that these new TLDs work? Sorry , I am having a smal trembling cynical
attack.

I sit back and listen and on small things such as need for a 60 day rule,
and say yes, these are American centric people. I am American by the way,
in case you are worried about criticism of the USA. However, I have spend
time out where the inadequate policies of delegation have hurt many people,
NOT JUST HERE IN THE UAE. I have also been involved in lawsuits with big
bad American corporates, so I know the need for good policies. But please
people, if any of you say court, define court, and remember, there is not
International court!

In case you forget, there are more domains registered in ISO TLDs than in
.com, but it is neck and neck. It should not even be that way, ISO TLDs
SHOULD be the biggest by far. It is not. Why? You and IANA telll me ( Or is
Jon Postel, the ultra hip nice guy still on jury duty? sorry for the
sarcasm, but if I hear how nice Jon is again I will get sick. The IANA and
the Internet need professionals who are they with Public Staements and
Public reaction, and the ability to run a 7 X 24 Internet)

Sincerly,

and I mean it,

Kevin
( Who actually does not give a rats arse about .ae, but feels that there
are valid lessons to be learned, and yes everyone goes to .com )
