In Network World (Dec 9), there is an article entitled "New Phone Number
Administrator Will Be Busy".  It is about the fact that Bellcore will no
longer be the phone number administrator and the new North American
Numbering Council (NANC) appointed by the FCC has met to hash out the
requirements for the new
adminstrator.  Their timetable: Jan 14: Publish RFP; Feb 14: Proposals due;
April 1: Winner recommended.  

Where do these guys get off with such a short timeframe?  Whats the rush?! :-)
