Scott ,
With all respect, I wish to point out that some of us might want
clarification on a level a little bit above the IAHC charter. I feel at his
point that it is a good thing to clarify that IANA owns the root, and that
clarify the policy of delegations on a large number of TLDs, the ISO TLDs.
You can all stand on decorum , but that attitude will split the DNS. You
can whistle and play and ignore forces moving now, but quite frankly, I
think Jim Flemings ROOT 64 has more merit at this point than IANA and the
IAHC. I think that they would be more open, and concensous based. If IANA
own "." and all of you out there ( Paul Vixie included) feel that IANA are
the ones to follow, then tell me where is IANA, and what do they own, and
how do you deal with them. Frankly, I have now seen much value in IANA to
this point. We need a stronger more vocal and more responsive org to run
the root.
IANA again and again are quiet and there is no information forthcoming. You
are not the person to point this out, IANA are, I would like to believe.
If this is out of the scope of the IAHC charter, then how do we get some
action of the policies of IANA and the ISO TLDs.
Guys I live and work in ISO TLDs, so I think I deserve some rational
answer that addresses my concerns and others concerns regarding hte issues
that I have bleated about in the past.
My bleating re .ae is AN EXAMPLE of how it can work. Of how it can be for
ALL ISO TLDS. So I don't appreciate Perry ignoring the truth or logic of a
global situatuion, and trying to ignore me because he thinks I am only
trying to fix .ae. I am not. I am trying to understand the policy and
decisions of all ISO TLDS. Then when a few more voices pipe in and ask
questions Perry shuts his ears and shouts Nah Nah, I don't want to play
now, and you state that this is not the place.
Well, for the (possibly) 30th time, where is the place?
Kevin
Can someone calls Perry Mom and bring him home, he doesn't want to play in
the International SandBox anymore
