Re: An Open Letter to the IAHC

Hank,

I am sure you are aware that these companies are not making money. Running
a directory service might generate cash, or might not. They are not making
a profit, that is for sure. They are depending on venture capital that gets
excited about the Internet market. a lot of them will evolve or disapear.

Which I guess is the same as registries, they will evolve or disappear.

I personally would not get into the registry business under the current
climate of the IAHC draft. Lose money hand over fist with this wooley
shared registry idea.

By the way, we run several Regional directories ala Yahoo and do not make a
penny, but we do not loose a penny, because they run themselves. No w
theres a thought, a serf-service registry! :-)
