I agree that if the TLDs are shared, they cannot be self-funding. In order
to make a business of it, a company needs to manage a discrete TLD. If it
is to be shared, it has to run as a government agency, funded by the
government. Since there is no world government waiting in line to fund
each one of the new registries, perhaps this sharing idea should be
re-examined.
