Yeah, if someone is counting the lurkers, put me down
as also favoring the proposal as a good job. Now let's fix the
(few) things that are wrong with it.
And as long as I'm commenting, let me state also that
I am in favor of many of the things the Daniel Kaplan
(French) paper said, particularly those dealing with the
Internet as an international public resource. That is why many
of us in the community are putting in the time and trouble of
seeing this issue to its resolution, because we feel it is a
public resource and trust that we're dealing with here. If it was
a private problem, I'd just let the guys (they do seem to all be
male ... why is that, or is it just statistical?) whose ox is being gored
fight it out in court instead of trying to find a resolution in the
best interest of the Internet public (we the people).
