Re: exclusivity of TLD's

Kent,

I would think that tis would have been obvious to everyone by
now. I have been saying it for days is so many ways it's
pathatic. IAHC want's centralized control in the strictest manner
possible. CORE will handle the day to day administration of gTLD's
with very little real authority. And all TLD's will be shared
weather or not it makes sense to do so in any case. At least
that is how I read the draft in short.

As to weather this approach is workable, good, feasible, is another
matter entirely. I think not. I do believe that some "BROAD" standards
need to be set by the IAHC. I think the CORE along with the Registries
should have an equal partnership with IAHC in determining policy and
revision thereof on a decided upon time basis (Quarterly perhaps).
This would allow for a more open approach and yet still provide for
good control and flexability on input for future technical issues that
will arrise. I also think that the customer or owner of a TLD should
be the determining factor as to weather that TLD is to be shared or
not. Not IAHC or CORE.
