You are implicitly claiming ownership of something that it is not all that
clear to me that you have any right to.  Just because the FCC hasn't given
out WFOO as a radio station call sign doesn't mean anyone who starts
broadcasting should have any claims to it.  I don't feel that there is any
consensus that people using/running alternic tld's should have any special
rights.  (Before the spittle starts flying, if someone is tempted to post
the standard refrain about sueing everyone in the universe, you might as
well refrain since weve heard it dozens of time by now.)

I think that you will find numerous non-profit groups would be willing to
run registries for the overall good of the net.  I even suspect that you
will find large companies whose lifeblood is the net, like the major ISP's
or software/hardware companies, willing to run registries.  If you were
good I bet that there are even private foundations whose goal is to promote
technology you could convince to give you a grant to run a registry.
