Wrong.
I have built THREE.
One world-class transaction system for AC Nielsen (late 80s)
One world-class REAL TIME transaction system for VideOcart (and the network
to deliver it) into ~250 grocery stores in real time (ie: while you
are at the check-out counter)
And a third which operates our customer service and operations center at
MCSNet.
None of these were trivial, and none could be built (much less maintained)
with $200,000.
