I don't know if you are mistaken about AlterNIC, but Bill helped us
with the language for our disclaimer at .WEB to indicate that the
process may take longer than the October 1 deadline. At no time did
'experimental' enter into it. It was operational, awaiting finalization
of procedure by making the Postel draft RFC.
