I find it disheartening that my credibility is being judged based on the
impression that others are presenting based on what they THINK happened at
a meeting that they did not attend. What has been posted and said publically
is of absolutely no importance to what was said at the meeting. Michael has
posted many messages directly contradicting what I'm claiming, - that's not
disputed by me at all - but nobody has come out and said that Bill Manning
did not make the statements that I claim he made. Would anyone like to do
that? If so, I'd love to know how you know, not being at the meeting.

Simon, who was at the meeting, has said that Bill did, indeed, make those
statements. Simon seems to think that Bill intended his statements to mean
experimentally, whereas I do not. So we have a difference of opinion.

Ultimately, this will come down to a decision by a third party, and at this
point I would welcome that. I want the simple event to be judged by facts, and
only a handfull of people have those facts. For now, I just don't care anymore.
Think what you wish, do what you wish, and we'll all wait for events to play
themselves out.

As for my credibility, I find it hard to worry about the impression you have
of me on a list where we have committee members' paranoia making them
think that someone is sending them death threats, he-said she-said arguments
by people who have no firsthand knowledge of events, flaming, personal
attacks, rhetoric, straw men, red herrings, name-calling, people going to
great lengths to prove that someone is a teenager, and temper tantrums.

Personally, I'm ashamed at this group of 5-year olds, and I cannot help but
think that the media and the public are laughing at us all. We cannot come up
with a workable solution to save our lives, and this is rapidly decaying into
what will become lawsuits and government intervention. This entire process
disgusts me to no end.

I wish the 31st would hurry up and arrive, so we can be done with this
laughable chapter in Internet history and get on with our business.
