But it seems unlikely that small ISP's will be able to run a registry.
So I find that senerio somewhat moot. Even if they did, most of them
can't even handle a modem pool adaquatly. Check the ratings yourself.
Given that, though allocating domain names is not rocket sicence as you
say, I would have grave reservations that small ISP, in general could
or would be up to the task. Small ISP's also have a greater motication
for increasing customer base and revinue, which is mainly generated
by other activities, thereby enhancing my original argument.
