It takes quite some unintended surfing to find an airport via 
Yahoo: response time, unclear categories, etc.  And the 
directories hardly resolve the uncertainty about who really 
runs the site. Lets face it: TLDs stand as a type of "quality 
label".

Compared to the "normal" potential for name conflicts in any 
TLD, this is a piece of cake. A simple set of rules will do,
e.g. prerequisite of mutual consultation between cities with 
the same name, precedence for the internationally known 
original, etc. These cities, although "in the same business" 
have been able to live with one another for a long time.
