Well, the example given is a scam, but the question is real.
What would be the effect if the namespace was seen to be ``just
names''. Would not the weakest similarity suffice to cause
anger in the heart of a trademark owener? Or in the heart of a
non-commercial international body like Save the Children?
I suspect (I haven't appreciated this yet, but I'm going to jum to a
conclusion) that the Domain Name System contains ``leaf'' domains,
whose name id of great importance to them, and ``interior'' domains,
which are navigational in nature.
And I fear that confusing the tw owill lead us to an unpleasant
end.
