  I **like** that.  If the user isn't terribly technical, the 
registry can hand hime a floppy in a well-known format (:-))
containing the private key with the usual protections (eg,
passphrase), and a copy of the public key.  The floppy gets used
like a bank card, the passphrase like a PIN.

  Hmmn: a trustworthy third party could make a few dollars
writing an authorization interface... (:-))
