When Ronald Reagan joked about remembering George Washington from his
youth, he was not, in fact, claiming to be hundreds of years
old.

Satire is a literary form dating back to the dawn of recorded
history. It is amusing to note how insulted some people feel about a
text that I wrote in which I did nothing but deprecate myself and
confirm all their worst proclamations about the IAHC. One of the best
things about writing a bit of satire is kicking back and seeing the
folks who then jump up and down and angrily scream "That's Not Funny!!!"
