I understand what your saying, but the 60 day wait won't change
anything, it will just ensure that everyone will be waiting.... for someone
to take there name away from them. And then if that happens, reapplying for
another name and waiting again.
At least now, I can use the name, and if someone doesn't like it,
wrestle with them until the outcome is decided.
Also, what if I get a name thru (because a company didn't look at
the 'pending names list') and then they come back and want the name. Do they
get it or has the 'law been laid'? We all know that if the company can sue,
it will and whatever 'laws' are in place they will be challenged and
probably changed.
I agree the present system needs reworking, but the wait is not the
answer. Why not make a 'window of opportunity' for all companies to
submit - and reserve - their already tradmarked / registered names. They
won't need to use them, just get them held. That would answer all the
problems. Why, a fee could even be charged for this.
