which ended with the words "Now we have a valid reason to kill you".

You deny originating the message, but it manifestly came from an IP
address on your network. You claimed could have come from off your
network because the machine's ip address could have been "stolen". A
request for a technical explanation of how someone outside your
network could have managed this without subverting large numbers of
routers was ignored. (This could not have been done with source route
options because the destination machine wouldn't have honored them.)

Don't think I've forgotten this incident.
