I would not have phrased it that way, but yes the fact is that from this
statement by Mr. Battista, it is clear that he is not fully in touch with
the legal realities of NSI's policy.  That would be humorous, but for the
fact that his being out of touch probably contributes to NSI's being out of
touch.  And NSI being out of touch is bad for the Internet community, since
blunders by NSI harm hundreds of thousands of people.

If NSI were merely one of several companies sharing the COM domain, I would
not be nearly so concerned about NSI's and Mr. Battista's being out of touch.
