It's fundamental, but not utterly broken: the
commitee members comment on issues they can usefully comment on.
Alas, that's more like a response to the data in the packets

No, no, not more FAQ work! (;-))
Seriously, though, this could be done in part by non-committee
members. Instead, I'd suggest the committee ask themeselves if
it ought to be done, and if so ask for volunteers.
And no, I can't volunteer this week: I have to leave warm
sunny Canada for a week in rainy San Francisco.
