This doesn't actually solve any of the problems which plague the .com
domain; in particular, it doesn't reduce the namespace crunch in the
least. It will require all the companies which have a serious Web
presence to register a new domain; nobody's going to want to be (say)
sun.com but sun-computer.web.
It's a great idea from a commercial standpoint. I don't think it makes
much sense given the current IAHC thinking. The user gains very little
from .WEB.
