I think this is sort of symptomatic of the difficulties we've all had
reaching consensus in the time since the draft was published.  There's
a basic assumption in the paragraph above:  "business problems."  The
IAHC isn't trying to solve business problems, they're trying to create
a system that will work for the *end user*.  

Whether or not they're doing a good job of that, and whether or not
that is indeed the right thing to do, accusing them of failing to do a
good job of solving a problem they aren't trying to solve is not likely
to be useful.  It's as if I went to Netcom, and said, "You know, you're
doing a lousy job of solving the problem of getting third world 
countries well-connected to the Internet."

"Uh... that's not what we're trying to do."

The question I'd ask here:  "Why should the IAHC be trying to solve
this problem in a way that results in maximum profits for the
registries?"
