You can get a lot of information about the new gTLDs by going to
http://www.gtld-mou.org.

Applications for companies wishing to be registrars are being accepted and
processed now.  There is also work being done on the database and
infrastructure to handle these.  A good guess for actually putting through
registrations would be towards the end of the year.
