Iperdome believes that we will have a fair chance to be a
private, free market registry under .per.us.
The U.S. has a long history of supporting and nurturing the free
market, as well as a long legal history that is consistent with
that support. We trust that the private domain name industry
will be validated and accommodated under .us.
In fact, the process has already started. In addition to the
Commerce Department's NOI, the U.S. Congress is likely to hold
public hearings towards the end of September, *before* the
IAHC proposal has *any* chance to be implemented.

That's a decision for each individual country to make for themselves!

I wouldn't call it parallel.
Under .us, many business models can co-exist and
compete at the same time:
- Regionally Distributed: <companyname>.<city>.<state>.us
- Private: .com.us, .per.us
- Shared: .firm.us
- SIC Code: .7045.us
- etc.
