PAB official response to DoC

Dear All,

The PAB response to the Department of Commerce's Request for Comments
concerning domain names is now official. 

Although the response was filed before the August 18th deadline, we didn't
have time, under our rules, to gather an official consensus in the time
allotted.  

Now, however, after PAB's mandatory two weeks period requesting dissents,
only two were received.

Therefore, our response, to be found at
http://www.pab.gtld-mou.org/News/DoC-RFC.html , is now an official PAB
response.  

Not a word will be changed from our original response, except that now the
response will come from the entire PAB membership, not just the original
signatories.

Sorry that democracy works slower than flaming.
