I have never understood what you mean by "interet community"? I _do_ work
for one of the largest ISPs in Europe, and the largest in Sweden. Possibly
larger than many that exists elsewehere in the world. I was elected after
an open process where anyone could give suggestions to the IAB nominations
committee of what people to nominate -- and all of them was publically
presented during the election process run by the IAB nomination comittee.

I.e. you will have this problem _regardless_ of how you elect people to
_any_ group. I don't understand how you will be able to have a more open
process of voting in the Internet Community.

And, by the way, electing ISPs obly are wrong aswell (as some people are
fighting for). The ISPs are not the same thing as the people working with
registrations, which are not the same people as the ones using the
network.

I have so far not seen any procedure suggested which will give better
ability for _users_of_the_Internet (not ISPs, not registration
organizations) to have a say in who is elected.
