Although a periodic note which counters particularly interesting forays
into fantasy are useful, the primary effect of responding to the non-stop
stream of silliness from such contributors is to fill the mailing list with
such non-productive chatter, thereby rendering the list useless. There are
those who believe that is the goal of the offending contributors.
In other words, don't let those folks control the rest of us. The best
way to limit their impact is to ignore them, whenever possible, especially
when they have many months of track record. Other list members need a very
occasional explanation, but not a continuing one.
