Proceeding from that assertion... what gives the IANA authority,
assuming it has any?
Answer: The US Government.
Fact: Once the MoU has been granted its monopoly, because it is a Swiss
cartel, the US Government's influence and authority will cease.
So we must then ask: Does the US Government serve its own interests and
that of its citizens by relinquishing authority to a Swiss cartel?
Or is IANA acting on its own to give away this authority? Is that in
accord with its relevant agreements, assuming there are any, with the
government?
