PEACE - NEGOTIATION - CONSENSUS

- Subject: PEACE - NEGOTIATION - CONSENSUS
In all of the tens of thousands of articles,
impassioned exchanges and often violent
emotions there is a general interest in finding
a comprehensive, inclusive and generally
acceptable resolution to Internet Governance.
A medium that started with a handful of
people utilizing it has unexpectedly grown
into what may become the only global mode
of communication simultaneously accessible
to all citizens, organizations, corporations
and governments. This was never intended
at the start but must be the primary motive
behind all of our present efforts and actions.
Internic, Alternic, CORE, National registries,
concerned governments, NGOs, other groups and
individuals must unite to find a common, decent
ground to work together from. As it now stands
the ground we are all standing on is crumbling
under the enormous pressure of hundreds of thousands
of new "Netizens" who flood onto this medium
every month. As it now stands the ground we
are inhabiting is dissolving due to this
persistant and destructive conflict we are
all witnessing and, to some degree or other,
helping to prolong.
It is time, if it wasn't time before this, to
lay aside all agendas for domination or market
share or power. It is time to put away the
intellectual and digital weaponry. It is time
to gather together as a community and to peace
with each other. Now let us all make declarations
of peace, commence negotiations to forge consensus
with all the world watching and our collective
future foremost in our thoughts.
